Hello. I’m Stephanie Nitsch.

I’m based in North America, Earth with no fixed address. Some call me nomadic. I prefer nimble.

I’m a writer, but that doesn’t quite cover it. I help brands communicate marketing messages and reach business goals. I find people and places whose stories are worth sharing with an audience. I showcase creativity in a strategic framework to give structure and tangibility to ideas. I play nice with other creative thinkers and doers.

I live for the brands and publications I work with, honing my focus on outdoor adventure, tourism, and leisure beats.

I’ve slung words for brands like Barebones Living, Burton Snowboards, Great Canadian Heli Skiing, and Origin Design + Communications—the latter of which included copywriting direction for Jay Peak Resort, Taos Ski Valley, Tourism Whistler, Visit Sun Valley, and a slew of other mountain-based brands and destinations.

I’ve penned stories for the likes of ESPN.com, Forbes Travel Guide, On The Snow, Pinkbike, Salt Lake Magazine, Snowboard Canada, and Teton Gravity Research. Usually relating to mountain culture topics. See the trend?

By moonlight, I swap words for epoxy, running a women’s snowboard company called Pallas Snowboards and learning the finer points of supply chains and web dev and manufacturing. In the hours between, I’m mountain biking or splitboarding or weighing the pros / cons of the Oxford comma.

But enough about my stories. Let’s talk about yours.
